About Department of Basic Science

The Department of Basic Sciences has highly qualified, experienced, dedicated faculty members with research background. The Department has 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors and 5 Assistant Professors. The departments of Physics and Chemistry has excellent infrastructure and well equipped laboratories. The Department of Basic Sciences shall deliver the analytical and Mathematical concepts to engineering students effectively, which will enable them in the strengthening of innovative skills during their further studies.

  • To build a strong foundation for excellence in knowledge and spur the development of the institution to become a premier institution by igniting and nurturing enthusiasm, interest and passion, in the study of fundamental courses of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and their applications in professional studies, as a part of curriculum.
MISSION
  • The department of Basic Science shall deliver the analytical and Mathematical concepts to engineering students effectively, which will enable them in the strengthening of innovative and creative skills during further studies
  • To inculcate the habit of increasing the power of reasoning and analytical ability for design and implementation of Novel Engineering Methods.

The Faculty of the Department of Basic Sciences takes keen interest and strive hard to nurture enthusiasm, interest and passion in the study of Fundamental courses of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and their applications for Engineering Studies. Faculty Development Programs, Workshops, Seminars, Guest lectures by Distinguished Professors are organized on latest thrust areas of Science and Technology for the benefit of faculty and students. Students are encouraged to participate in quiz competitions, Essay and other cultural activities which helps to kindle their innovative abilities. The equipments in the Physics and Chemistry laboratories are very much useful for the students to carry out the project experiments.

Course Outcomes
